The p53-Mdm2 interaction through the lens of antithetic feedback

Show abstract

We show that the p53-Mdm2 gene interaction can be understood as a form of antithetic feedback, but with mixed feedback loops. In particular, we show that this viewpoint sheds light on the emergence and robustness properties of p53's oscillatory behaviour, as observed experimentally.
