IntroductionAlzheimers disease (AD) prevalence rises with societal ageing. In clinical care, behavioral and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD)--including depression, agitation/aggression, apathy, and sleep disturbance--worsen patients quality of life and substantially increase caregiver burden, more significantly than the cognitive symptoms.
