We report an outbreak of ceftriaxone-resistant Salmonella Typhi in Bangladesh, with 47 cases identified from April-September 2024. Isolates belong to genotype 4.3.1.2 and harbor the blaCTX- M-15 gene on the pCROB1 plasmid. This unique genotype-plasmid lineage represents a recent introduction, necessitating enhanced surveillance, antimicrobial stewardship, and consideration of vaccination strategies.

"Similar papers" are the closest papers from that journal in the model's embedding space. They show what the match is built on, but the ranking comes mostly from a classifier over the whole training set, not from these examples alone.
