BackgroundTourette syndrome is a childhood-onset neuropsychiatric disorder characterised by recurrent motor and vocal tics. It shows a marked male predominance and is frequently associated with comorbid conditions such as attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and obsessive- compulsive disorder (OCD).
